TURNING THE WORLD SAFER

GB-SAR INTERFEROMETRY

DIAN uses the SAR interferometric technique with a ground based sensor to offer monitoring services and measurement of displacements with a precision of up to a fraction of a millimetre and an area ranging from a few thousand square metres to a few square metres depending on the distance of the radar installation, the specific phenomenon to be observed and a temporal baseline of a few minutes.

This technology is particularly suitable for the monitoring of landslides, mudslides, caves, volcanic activity, dams, bridges, retaining walls, highways and railways.

DIAN processes time series of SAR images using the most advanced processing techniques available in scientific literature and mitigating the effects of atmospheric phase delay and measurements of atmospheric parameters carried out in conjunction with SAR measurements.

Upon Customer request, displacement maps obtained from SAR interferometry can be georeferenced on a digital model of the area or of the structure observed and integrated with satellite SAR interferometric measurements or with those obtained with traditional techniques such as GPS, levelling, strain gauges and pendulums.
